DRONE: RPG

DRONE is a tabletop roleplaying game, set in a post-apocalyptic future, in which players control mindless drones sent to explore a derelict generation ship adrift in the black of space. The players represent minor articifial intelligences put to work in service of a greater AI in the detritus of human civilization.

The Greater AI (portrayed by the GM) provides the players with drones—disposable machine bodies cobbled together from salvaged parts and refuse—with which to perform scavenging missions. Using these drones, players will attempt to retrieve valuable data from the generation ship Arcadia, launched on the eve of environmental collapse on Earth, and eventually stalled to rot in the cold emptiness of space. There is no other goal, and few rewards.
